Maha Ganapati Temple of Arizona

Today I have found a ganapati temple of Arizona. In May 1999, Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami of Kauai Aadheenam gifted a 1400 lb., 4 ft. tall granite Ganesha murthi to the Hindu community of Arizona. In 2000 temple incorporated as non profit.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as birth anniversary of Lord Ganesh. On Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesh is worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. It is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month.Currently Ganesh Chaturthi day falls in month of August in English calendar.
